Gingham Blindfold: A novel

After landing an internship at a top music magazine in New York, aspiring rock journalist Ethan Ames thinks his career is set. Instead, Ethan finds himself in California with a girlfriend to whom he can’t relate and a newspaper job he despises. So when he stumbles upon the love of his life in the pages of a discarded hardcore magazine, Ethan drops everything to find her, and with the help of a star reporter, finds out something about himself. Funny and poignant, Gingham Blindfold is the story of what happens when an obsession over how life should be gets in the way of how life really is.

The List: Can Perfect Be Put On Paper?

Review

THE LIST is the winner of the 2009 Next Generation Indie Book Award in the Romance category** In the spirit of Catherine from *Wuthering Heights* and Bella from the *Twilight* saga, soon after the disastrous date with Mr. Sex Addict, Candace meets two great guys. One is nearly Mr. Perfect and is checking off more on her list as days go by and the other screams Mr. Not Perfect. Candace is about to fall and fall hard… but will she do it with the right one? It’s a light read and certainly a happy one. I can picture it being made into a movie and featured alongside How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Runaway Bride. Totally different themes but the same spirit and certainly as entertaining. I love how it took a common idea that many women have (the list) and turned it into a sweet parody of that idea –*Love, Romance, Passion

People make lists for a variety of reasons. There are grocery lists, errand lists and to-do lists. Candace Sanders is a 30-som (more…)
